Loughborough-ban működő szociálpszichológiai iskola, amely - a legendárium szerint - 1987 novemberében alakult meg, egy szerda délután, Michael Billig dolgozószobájában, Discourse and Rhetorics Group, vagyis DARG néven. Tagjai között voltak Derek Edwards, Michael Gane, Jonathan Potter, David Middleton, Nigel Edley és Ros Gil, később, a 90-es években csatlakozott hozzájuk Malcolm Ashmore, Sue Wilkinson, Celia Kitzinger, Charles Antaki és Steven Brown, még később, a 2000-es évek elején pedig John Cromby és Elisabeth Stokoe. A társaság megőrizte pszichológiai kiindulópontját, ugyanakkor tudáselméleti és ideológiai kutatásokat is végzett. Néhány kulcsfogalommal jól jellemezhető ez a sokrétűség: érvelés, oktatás, tanulási nehézségek, beszélgetéselemzés, kogníció, retorika, érzelmek, tények, feminizmus, identitások, internet, pszichoanalízis, realizmus, posztstrukturalizmus, metodológia, szociális reprezentáció. 2004 őszétől egyik tagunk, Kaposi Dávid, három évig Michael Billig irányításával írja doktori disszertációját Loughborough-ban.
